2009 International Symposium on Electronic Art

Professor Mark Shepard (DMS/Architecture) will be speaking on the panel “Contested Spaces III” as well as presenting his new project “Sentient City Survival Kit” in the “Positionings I” session.
VS Professor Stephanie Rothenberg will be exhibiting 2 projects in the Golden Threads Gallery (GTG) in Belfast.
The video “10 Simple Steps to Your Own Virtual Sweatshop“, an infomercial for aspiring virtual entrepreneurs documents the mixed reality installation “Invisible Threads”. “School of Perpetual Training“, an ironic training website uses webcam technology and full range of body motion to train participants for unskilled jobs in the global game industry.
