emerging practices

Chris Caporlingua is an MFA candidate in the Department of Media Study, and his work in many ways is a perfect example of the Emerging Practices concept. I actually had a difficult job in choosing just one of his works to show on the blog, but this video, documenting a typewriter-synthesizer, is such a great example of documenting an interactive work that I just had to put it up here. The video is pretty self-explanatory. The work, done in collaboration with Heamchand Subryan, was installed at the Winter 2008 “Sensitized Spaces” show at Soundlab, here in Buffalo, NY.
